Our camping digs for the weekend.

Our little camper sleeps like a champ in the tent. He lays between Mommy and Daddy on the air mattress and Maverick sleeps next to us on the floor.

We drove both trucks onto the beach and set up our chairs and blankets.

Jasper could have played all day in the sand with his bucket, shovel and mini dump truck.

It didn't take long for Jasper to figure out that the waves would chase him back onto shore.
As cold as the water was, he didn't mind walking in it...

...Until he fell face first into the water and got soaked.

After taking off his cold, wet shirt, he felt better about approaching the waves while holding Grandmother's hand.

And just in case you wondered, yes, this pasty-white kid was absolutely slathered in sunscreen right down to his belly button.

Maverick and Preston loved the freedom of being able to run around the beach.
Jasper had a ball collecting rocks.

We brought Jasper's bike so he could ride around the campground. Here's Rick giving a demonstration of how little it is.

This was our family photo op at the ocean dunes. If you close your eyes, you can hear the seagulls and smell the salty air through your computer.

We went down to the Westport marina to buy some fresh tuna off the boats. Christy photographed this sea lion lounging at the last dock.

Another sea lion jumped up on the dock while we were there and this big guy chased him back into the water faster than you could imagine. So this shot is the best our camera would zoom in while Christy kept a safe distance.

We also stopped at the go-carts where Rick and Opa took Jasper for a race around the track. Giving Jasper the opportunity to actually "drive" the go-cart was the highlight of the trip for him.
"Keep your eyes on the road little Buddy!"
